UGANDA
KIDS

City | Zirobwe Ministry | Project Orphans Length | 3 Weeks Cost | $4,400

Join Project Orphans where you’ll work alongside the local Ugandan team as we partner together to see abandoned women, children, and those living in extreme poverty in Uganda. You’ll work within Pearl Village and help create homes for women and children who have gone through horrific abuse as well as serve the local community through various humanitarian projects and education workshops. In addition, you’ll mentor and build deep relationships with the 40+ children who were either abandoned, orphaned, or facing poverty at its worst. You’ll work with many different schools, churches, and organizations in the slums of Uganda and help assist them with new developments and outreach opportunities.

  • Your passport MUST NOT expire before December 15, 2025

You will need a Tourist E-Visa to enter Uganda.
Our office will apply for the visa for you, and you will need to supply additional information for the visa.

  • You must have the Yellow Fever Vaccine in order to enter Uganda.

The Yellow Fever vaccine can range from $225-$450 depending on locations. This cost is NOT included in the trip price; you are personally responsible for getting and paying for the vaccine yourself.

Because the vaccine is needed for the visa application, you must get the vaccine by the 50% Financial Deadline.

Each country’s immunization and medication requirements and recommendations are based on Travelers’ Health from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the recommendations of our contacts. These requirements and recommendations are subject to change based on outbreaks, government mandates, etc.

Students are personally responsible for making medical decisions regarding vaccinations and are encouraged to evaluate their own needs and risks. Students are financially responsible for the cost of their immunizations or medications; the cost of immunizations or medication are not included in the trip price.

We monitor outbreak situations, and vaccine requirements and recommendations could change at any time based on what is happening in the world.

ORU Missions strongly recommends that all students are up to date on routine vaccines, including: polio, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, HPV, Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis, and Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR).

Routine vaccines + Typhoid are recommended for Uganda.
